At The Zeal of the Chefs, we do not teach cooking with:
- Alcoholic drinks or beverages
- Pork or pork products
- Other ingredients that do not meet our cooking standards
When a recipe normally uses one of these ingredients, we may suggest a different option instead.
Why?
Some of these products may have health or safety concerns, such as:
- Alcohol can affect judgment and coordination.
- Drinking alcohol regularly can lead to addiction.
- Alcohol may increase the risk of liver problems and some cancers.
- Eating a lot of processed meat may increase certain health risks.
- Raw or undercooked pork can carry harmful bacteria or parasites.
